David Gutiérrez Aguilar

 

 David Gutiérrez (1992) started his musical education with the modern flute at the conservatory ‘Ramón Garay’ in Jaén. He finished his bachelor study at the ‘Conservatorio Superior Manuel Massotti Littel’ in Murcia, obtaining outstanding in all the instrumental subjects. Next he decided to dedicate his studies to early music, starting his education in historical flutes.

At the moment he is combining his work as a teacher with the Master of Early music at the ‘Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya’ in Barcelona, studying with Marc Hantaï.

 

In the matter of early music, David has received lessons in historical flutes from Marc Hantaï, Frank Theuns, Guillermo Peñalver, Marco Brolli, Agostino Cirillo and Montserrat Gascón. He has also received chamber music lessons from Francois Fernandez, Lorenzo Coppola, Emilio Moreno, Emmanuel Balssa, Olivier Baumont, Jacques Ogg and Alba Roca.

 

Furthermore, David has worked with the Symphonic Orchestra of ‘Región de Murcia’ and with the University Orchestra of Murcia as a solo flutist, performing various concerts for flute and orchestra.

 

He has participated in the ‘Ciclo de Música Primavera Sonora’ in Granada and in the ‘I Festival Internacional de Música Histórica’ in Aledo. He has as well played for the National Spanish Radio and ‘romMurcia’.
